Hernan Winkler, Senior Economist at the Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice for Latin America and the Caribbean, will present his latest research: “Buffer or Bottleneck? Employment Exposure to Generative AI and the Digital Divide in Latin America”.
The webinar will run from 3 to 4 p.m. CET.
About our speaker:
Hernan Winkler has led technical work and policy dialogue on labour markets, on the impacts of technology adoption and policy reforms, and on the drivers and consequences of poverty and income inequality.
He has also worked at Amazon as a Senior Economist, using causal inference techniques to guide business decisions. His research has been published in top academic journals including the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Human Resources, and the Journal of Development Economics.
